While the standard hobs produce heat, in PremierTech PT-PC2i recessed induction hobs the heat is created in the pots base. The hob does not heat up, the food becomes warm when it is heated on a pan, and it is the heat in the pan that is transmitted directly from the plane. Operation is given by a field of energy that generates heat only in magnetically conductive materials, on other materials such as iron pots, porcelain, glass or ceramic, the energy field is not generated and there will be no heating effect. The pots suitable for this type of cooking are made up with an iron-carbon or cast iron base, and it is possible to identify these by markings on the bottom or verifying if a magnet hooks to the pan base. With the induction system the return is very high, in the order of 90%, far superior to the other cooking methods.
